  1. I'm sure that you can still get a divorce during the lockdown!!!
  2. You might be out of luck carni with that wish, listening to the weather report for UK, looks like it will be a pretty good weekend!!. Lets hope that people use a bit of common sense, although in my experience, sense doesn't seem to be very common.
  3. Ok, firstly, i am hoping that everyone is staying in good health and abiding the guidelines. Now for the crux, just been watching the UK info about what what you should do, so the nhs, i know are doing a fantastic job, say in their advert, or imply, that going out for exercise is a necessity!! Why is it?. If someone can answer that for me, then i would be grateful. Can't people exercise at home?. Any reply would be welcome!!
  4. Welcome tuller, I'm sure you will find lots of answers to your questions, and look forward to reading your posts. There are a few members who have some connection with the church in question, just give it time. all the best and stay safe.
  5. As the singer 'seasick steve' once said, " I started out with nothing, and still got most of it left " i can relate to that.
  6. Did she get caught with her fingers in the till, thinking the change would do her good!!
  7. When we lived in grans cafe on s st Ann's Well rd, John Bamford (the funeral director) always used to say that grans 'ham cobs were the best, he used to come in most days and have two with mustard @ 1and 6 a piece. He always ended up with most of the crumbs down his whistle and in his tash. I never liked the crusty cobs, always ended up with a cut gum.
  8. At the tender age of 19 i worked down Gedling pit, for about 2years before becoming a steeplejack. Anyway, my gran used to make my snap and one day asked me what I would like. I did have a thing about 'Robertson's black currant jam, you know what's coming don't you!, After 18 months of afore mentioned snap i happened to mention to gran that I would like something different. Her reply "you said that you liked black currant jam" . Ok gran I'll mek me own snap from now!!
  9. Nonna, that was the very same question I asked a couple of weeks ago!!. Still aint got a logical answer.
  10. Obviously the 'royal version ' , let's hope that if any of us get it, it's that version.
  11. Another memory jogged, thanks CT, the little cut through at the end of the school, down to Northumberland st was where I tripped whilst running and ended up doing a somersault down the steps. Ended up with cuts and grazes on just about every part of my body, using everyone of the steps to acquire them. Yet I don't remember that there were too many steps !!.
  12. Blimey, just found this post whilst looking at 'activity ', and the photo invokes a lot of pleasant memories as it was the only school i can remember, that I enjoyed going to. Somewhere in the back of my mind, miss Lewis rings a bell. By coincidence, my father went there as well. Also, my father and myself went to Huntingdon st juniors. Not at the same time, I might add.
  13. If oldphil is right, and to be honest, I have similar thoughts, who is going to make them pay for this catastrophe?. And again, when and if it gets 'sorted ' , i can see this escalating to something a lot worse, and I don't mean virus wise!!!
  14. You've got to open up, so that the rest can get in to work !!
  15. We are probably lucky at the moment, but the government has put us on a 4 day curfew, it was going to be just 14 hours today. But it was deemed such a success, they have imposed a further 3 days.
  16. Lovely sentiments, Catfan, Ian and the rest.
  17. At a guess, if one is male and the other is female, then pretty close. But if of the same sex, use your own judgement !
  18. BK, your mention of the 'Finland's mountains reminded me of when I instructed the trainees at the C.I.T.B at Bircham Newton. Some would asked where i practiced my rope access skills, and I would tell them that i was a reserve for the 'Norfolk Mountain Rescue Team' only a few twigged it!
  19. Some posh words there Jill, will get back later, when I've googled what they mean.
  20. Just got stocked up with a few beers and a bit of food ready for Sunday. Nobody allowed out from 9a.m.till 7pm, suits us just fine, hardly anyone here anyway !! Might make it the whole weekend, just to be safe.
