We lived in Ellis Close. I did have some friends who lived in Lambs Lane.

That’s a coincidence I also lived in Cottenham.

Was at Henry Mellish from 69 to 71. I was in Bulkeley house. I was looking through my cupboards the other week and found my old rugby shirt and school scarf. I can still remember some of my teachers some of them with fonder memories than others.

Although I am originally from Yorkshire and believe that I have not lost my Yorkshire accent, I was talking to someone at work a few months ago and he asked me where in the East Midlands I was from. He guessed that it was probably Nottingham. I told him that I lived in Nottingham for 5 years and then Leicester for another 5 years. Incidentally I have a couple of friends where I now live in Bristol and I picked up their Leicester accent as soon as they spoke.

I joined the group about 2 years ago but have been a lurker until now. Born in Yorkshire in 1958 and moved to Radcliffe-on-Trent in 1966. Lived there until 1971 when we moved to Leicester. This was followed by a move to Cambridge in 1976 and finally to Bristol in 1979. Still love visiting the area and keeping up to date with what is happening in the City and County.
