  8. An image that takes me back to a Nottm I was comfortable with...safe,even when rambling off as a nipper. Life was uncomplicated- a Wagon Wheel sweet would have propped up a Foden, plastic sandals clacked the slabs,you took a swipe for cheek ..without calling Child line. City streets were all 'sun and shade',and the charring of soot on buildings made me think I was in an old film; no one ate whilst walking... rarely saw a lady pulling on a Senior Service..and Styrofoam cups were only at the Tea Shed on the Arboretum.Old men in macs went nubbing- stooping to pick up dog ends - rarely y

  13. Margie has my grey matter twitching now! The Bentinck Rst was very 50's in it's style..black wrought iron and blue/ yellow and red balls on the coat hanger..gone in my day- became Silver Leaf Chinese..."Luncheon Vouchers accepted" Along here somewhere..Birds was great for ham hocks.
  14. My Art College Tutor lived on Berry Hill Rd. ..he tracked tested motorbikes when younger and spoke of a great bike shop in Mansfield in the 1950's. I have carried the knowledhe Bob passed onto me and appreciate fine art and all paintings to this day. A buzzing town in my time here...a nice aerial shot.

  18. Electrics were terrible Mick...the Motor Guzzi though was a different story..lovely machine.
  19. Was it St.Marks Street or Curzon Street that sold me a Garelli..did for 9 months..screwed it up going all the way to Marble Arch on rough ground. Shared a Benelli later with my kid Brother...a great bike..but as always the bluebottles would stop us.
