  1. We had a black cat from Trinity walk pet shop back in1968. She were a long haired English black. They were known as English Queens. We kept her for about 18 years before big C took her. Loved that cat.
  2. Just to add to Margie's picture...
  3. You mentioned Trent bridge Ben. My sister in law's dad's ashes are buried under a piece of that hallowed turf. He were a groundsman there for many years.
  4. At least I don't have to show me passport at the Thames anymore. I will need a street map now though. Had a look on Mr.Google, and hardly recognised Kennington road, where I spent me teens. Just had a look on Google at some pictures of Nottm on Christmas day. Market Square, Plains road, Front st.Arnold, derby road, Upper Parliament st etc. All totally deserted. Like Flag Day in Aberdeen.
  5. I'll second that swe62, just soon as it's safe to do so. I reckon I done me time in solitary. Wonder if I'll remember the way oop North.
  6. Only a 7 hour, 384mile round trip. Might just do that for me quarter pound of Stilton.
  7. Our last three shop deliveries, we've been unable to get Stilton for love nor money. Had the red wine though.:-)
  8. PhilMayfield, if you're still on reading this. I took your suggestion, and we had a Gammon joint...with Egg and Chips ! Best Christmas Dinner for a long time. (We were brought a turkey dinner two weeks ago from our local pub. Delivered plated and piping hot).
  9. Now you're talking a load of cobblers!
  10. How are you going to top that come Easter, Terry?
  11. Said it before, but because it's today... HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY !!!
  12. Nice to hear your news Catfan. Take care.
  13. Hiya P.P., it's bin a pleasure conversing with you too. I've enjoyed your exploits with the coop and chickens. As Mrs.P.P. taken up painting yet? Kindest regards to you both, Barrie.
  14. Ben, well for us, Nottingham would be nice. It would give us the opportunity to see old haunts and meet relatives and friends.
  15. Very Best Wishes To One And All...
  16. That's no way to talk of my wife.
  17. That's what I mean HSR, why not with immediate effect? Why at 1 minute past midnight. It's been said countless times," This is an unprecedented time, we've never experienced anything as bad as this". I just find it incomprehensible how fast it went global. That's what makes it so frightening. It's getting to the point when one is simply afraid to go out.
  18. What I don't understand is...When being reported by whoever, they say, "We'll go into Tier 3/4/ etc and will be in lockdown from midnight, Boxing day". Why don't they just tell us the situation is critical or something and that we will all be in lockdown, WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT!! Instead of saying that we can have two days off then back to the treadmill. A virus don't take a day off.
  19. When I was listening to the news, they seemed to make an emphasis on Italy, can't remember which region. I think it was the figures that were quoted that drew my attention. Your right about England though, trouble is, looking at some of the protest meetings and lack of masks and distancing, I reckon lots of people don't believe what's going on or think it won't affect them. I reckon over here it's out of control.
  20. Watching the news earlier, your lot don't look too good Nonna. Take care all of you and Happy Christmas !
  21. It went out the window when you got the vote !
  22. A slight query Ben, your mate Columbo. Did he pass away in the 40s, or was it in his 40s? Just askin'.
