A lot of the more active Forest lads used meet up early doors for away matches @ peggers , i can still see Paul Scarrott climbing on board a mini bus draped in the union jack with 4 pints .

Remember Festus worked on Dog & Bear with black Alf . On Wollaton street opposite the Tap & Tumbler before the Royal Hotel was built anyone remember a chippy think it had 2 or 3 floors always packed out ?

Think you was closer with the entertainment agency , i know he lived with 2 girls !!!! One was a stripper stage name Pepper , can't remember the others name but it could have been salt ? He did have a go @ stand up comedy using most of Barry St.Ives material who was also his mate , i believe he lasted 2 to 3 minutes @ his one & only gig @ The Variety Club . He would have been better doing a double act with his 2 chicks

They sell a tinned bitter called Shipstones in Aldi A pasteurised and canned bitter contract brewed for Aldi using the name of a former Nottingham brewery that was taken over by Carlsberg-Tetley.

Cheers Mick the Admiral Rodney would have been on my list , but having not been there this millenium , it would be unfair , could also add the Pitcher & Piano on High Pavement , yet everyone i've took in there not from Nottingham thinks it's the dogs and wish they had one in there town !!!

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT Brian Selby who opened Selectadisc in 1966 and has owned it ever since, has recently decided to retire and are now under new ownership. Ex-employee, Phil Barton, who took over the London shop (now trading as Sister Ray) a few years ago, is now running Selectadisc with existing manager Jim Cooke. The shop on Market Street will be converted into one unit, with two trading floors stocking the same wide range of genres on CD and vinyl, hopefully by the end of March.
