The Hockley bubble may have burst noticed the contemporary furniture shop Nash Interiors closed & Dim T the Chinese Japanese Vietnamese & Thai restaurant boarded up & the gym @ the bottom of hockley that Mad Lizzy from GMTV had somthing to do with boarded .

  3. Not seen Stu around town for some years now, I remember around 1992 when I used to pass the Peggers on the way to Colwick there would be a crowd of around 300 gathered outside drinking, this was roughly 7am on a Saturday morning!! anyone know what that was all about?

A lot of the more active Forest lads used meet up early doors for away matches @ peggers , i can still see Paul Scarrott climbing on board a mini bus draped in the union jack with 4 pints .

  4. As far as I know Frank didn't work at the Stage door/ Rat and Parrot. When Larry Lloyd owned it the main man was Festus with some other black guys and yours truely. When it was the Rat and Parrot two black lads named Paul and Chris (Formerly at the Q.E. ) were running it. Of course I had been abroad so it could have been then

Remember Festus worked on Dog & Bear with black Alf .

On Wollaton street opposite the Tap & Tumbler before the Royal Hotel was built anyone remember a chippy think it had 2 or 3 floors always packed out ?

He did have a go @ stand up comedy using most of Barry St.Ives material who was also his mate , i believe he lasted 2 to 3 minutes @ his one & only gig @ The Variety Club .

He would have been better doing a double act with his 2 chicks

  6. Accross Alfreton Road was The Curry House, a great place to eat. Now I believe this has been replaced by a KFC.
