does anyone have fond memories of the masons arms ,hucknall. i used to do some work nearby and often uesd to go in for a couple of pints and found this pub to be brill.

Before leaving for any holiday with our dog I visit a web site to check out nearby pubs where we can have a bar meal and where our dog will be made welcome. A great site with over 5000 pubs listed. site is www.doggiepubs.org.uk But when home in Nottingham we find it rather more difficult - especially to find a welcoming place for a Sunday Roast or mid day meal. Particularly in a pleasant location e.g. riverside or park. and within a six or seven mile radius. I am researching my family history and have strong links to Nottingham. My 3rd great grandfather John Wilson was the licensee at the Plough Inn in Radford in 1871 - another relative was a George Wilson who ran a pub in Peter Street in 1881 ( don't know the name of the pub at the moment ) and my other relative John O Wilson killed himself jumping from the castle in 1934 into the Trip to Jerusalem pub narrowly missing someone having a beer who had to go to hospital because of the shock. Any help people could give me to find old records or particularly photographs of the pub in those days would
