.... 23
A 'neutralised ride-out through the city apparently so that everyone get a glimpse of the champ and all. With other cycling events in the Square it seems like a good day for the sport and for the city of Nottingham alike: http://www.thisisnot...tail/story.html
taxi ray 170
The first day was today and according to the BBC report was very well attended, lets hope that we all show the same support tomorrow, It's a pity as most people will be at work due to it being a weekday. I live close to Trowell road so I will see if I can get a few photos. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-suffolk-19521148

plantfit 7,591
No PP,it was Penney's in the park Matlock town about 3-4 years ago, should have been held in Liverpool I think but they had to pull out late on and Matlock stepped into the breach, cracking day, from kids racing their mountain bike round the cicuit, juniors on their racing bikes, junior unicycle racing followed by the seniors finishing the day off with an hours ordinary cycle race, plenty of spills and thrills but no one hurt, shame they've not repeated it Rog
radfordred 6,284
Old Sir Wiggins has announced his retirement it's his fault that the roads around Derbyshire are clogged up with gangs of Lycra clad planet saving cyclists at the weekends.
plantfit 7,591
They get called all sort round here Red,Lycra Louts, tossers in tights,wa*kers on wheels, the ordinary bloke who rides out with his kids or whatever is ok and sticks to the highway code but these planks on wheels own the lanes and stuff the rest of us Rog (ex two wheeled cyclist)
philmayfield 6,121
Same on the lanes around here. I agree with all that you say. I used to ride a bike but I gave it up as I didn't want to be associated with such arrogant idiots.
