Can anyone remember the Caramel Pie we had for school dinners pudding?

Recipe? - would this be Banoffee Pie without the bananas?

According to my sister-in-law, who used to work in a school kitchen many moons ago, it is the same as banoffee pie but with grated cooking chocolate added.

I was school cook until a couple of years ago. It is called butterscotch tart, made using butterscotch essence. Still made in schools and still loved by the children, along with cornflake tart.
