Compo 10,328
Can anyone remember the Caramel Pie we had for school dinners pudding? Recipe? - would this be Banoffee Pie without the bananas? According to my sister-in-law, who used to work in a school kitchen many moons ago, it is the same as banoffee pie but with grated cooking chocolate added.

darkazana 1,736
Can anyone remember the Caramel Pie we had for school dinners pudding? Recipe? - would this be Banoffee Pie without the bananas? I was school cook until a couple of years ago. It is called butterscotch tart, made using butterscotch essence. Still made in schools and still loved by the children, along with cornflake tart.
