Wasnt it Hooleys or Hanger Ford garage in the late 70s? Im sure i remember going in there when i was in my late teens with my car mad boyfriend at the time

The Hanger Showrooms were there (nextdoor to MM) there workshops were down London Road , over the canal, opposite the end of Queens Drive . I did a weeks work experience there before I left school.

But looking at that google streetview pic earlier on in this thread, it shows that MM is directly next door to the NCT garage, so doesnt that mean that MM took over part of Hanger too?

Knew I'd seen one somewhere.

Can't quite make out who the owners were at this time, but it's clearly Ford. The road on the left (where the Morris Minor is parked) is the entrance to the bus garage. The old Ice Stadium is to your right.
