your not on the ball and your right about where Lillian's was located, I

remember going in to buy wool for a jacket I was knitting when I was about 17. 

I might like to think I was a wild child but I've always liked knitting.:cool:

The shop I remember as a child around 1955 was opposite

All Hallows junior school but I can't recall the name.
