Mr Cadbury and Miss Rowntree met on a Double Decker, it was After Eight. She was from Quality Street , he was a Fisherman's Friend. On the way they stopped at a Yorkie Bar, he had a Rum and Butter, she had a Wine Gum. He asked her name, "Polo, I'm the one with the hole" she said. "I'm the one with the nuts," he thought! Then he touched her Milky Way. They checked in to a hotel, and went straight to the bedroom. Mr Cadbury turned out the light for a bit of Black Magic. It wasn't long before he slipped his hand into her Snickers and felt her Cream Egg. He fondled her Flap Jacks then he showed her his Curly Wurly and Tic Tacs. Miss Rowntree wasn't keen to have any Jelly Babies, so she let him take a trip down Bourneville Boulevard via her Party Ring. He was pleased as he always fancied a bit of Fudge. It was a magic moment as she let out a scream of Turkish Delight. When he pulled out, his fun size Mars Bar felt a bit Crunchie. She wanted more, but he needed Time Out, however, he noticed her Pink Wafers looked very appetizing. He did a Twirl, had a Picnic in her Sherbet Dip and finished off by giving her a Gob Stopper! Unfortunately, Mr Cadbury then had to go home to his wife, Caramel. Sadly, 3 days later his Magnum lolly started to drip. carni 10,094 Posted July 23, 2013 Report Share Posted July 23, 2013 My parents had four children under 5yrs of age, so money was short,some of the sweet things we enjoyed were home made.We would sit with a saucer of Cocoa and sugar, Delicious! and when dipping our little fingers in it was to slow,we would lick it up,hence the set chocolate faces, Rhubarb Sticks and Sugar, A real treat was Mams home made Brandy Snaps,Made in the black oven at the side of the fire, Rolling it round the poker to make the curl,and taking it in turns to have one. Another thing we used to do under supervision was all sit down with plastic needles and thread Puffed Wheat on to cotton and when it was full,eat them. Mind you I loved it without sugar, and goosegogs as green as they came. Making my mouth water to think about them. A penn'orth of kali went a long way too, a lick at a time. carni 10,094 Posted May 24, 2015 Report Share Posted May 24, 2015 When it was my birthday (27th April.Hint Hint). My Hubbs bought me an old fashioned shaped jar full of my favourite Duddoos. It contained. Refresher Chews (with Sherbet inside), Parma Violets, Drumstick Lollipops, Black Jacks, Swizzels fizzers, Fruit Salad, Swizzel Sherbet Lollies, Love Hearts and Anglo Bubbly Gum. I forgot all about them until 10mins ago, when I Spotted them on the shelf in the pantry. So far I have eaten all the Fruit Salad and Blackjacks. The Laptop and surrounding area: including me are all covered in Sherbet from the Refresher Chews! I have got "Jaw Ache" and not sure if I still have as many fillings as when I started. Just about to start on the Anglo Bubble Gum. I'm going to have two at a time and blow some Whoppas'. It's Ok, I know It's rude, but I am on my own, so I won't be teaching any Children bad habits! Mind you I think I would probably rather spend the money on the sweets than reading about them. We used to sell a very large Childrens selection of Sweets when we had our shop in the 1970s. It was referred to as "The Penny Tray". I've had a "Sweet Tooth" all my life, and of course it was up to me to order the sweets for the shop, I was in heaven making my list from the Wholesaler. 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

They were shaped like peanuts in the shell and when you crunched them up, there would be chopped up real peanut inside. Does anyone remember them? Well apparently. you cannot get them with the nut inside anymore. Must be to do with allergies. Health and Safety issues. Anyway, it has spoilt the sweets, the salty peanut inside was the best bit!
