plantfit 7,575
Would be good if those penny pictures could be posted in a Bilborough thread Rog
Jill Sparrow 10,303
Mention the Golden Ratio to an architect these days and the response is likely to be "Yer wot?" as they wipe their nose across their sleeve. If it's not constructed of breeze blocks, concrete and plastic and doesn't look as though it's about to keel over sideways, it stands no chance of winning the the coveted perspex, lopsided, environmentally friendly, locally sourced, worth all of 20p award. Both the award and the building are guaranteed to drop to bits in 6 months time! Bring back Tudor England! 3
Cliff Ton 10,454
I've split all the posts about Low Pavement and the offices at Nos. 22 - 26 into a separate thread. https://nottstalgia.com/forums/topic/17172-low-pavement/
BilboroughShirley 1,120
At lunch time today I sat with my coffee and watched Bargain Hunt. In between the buying and the auction they visited The Trip to Jerusalem pub in Nottingham and interviewed the landlord. It was interesting, all about how the caves under there were once used for prisoners!
