Cliff Ton 10,435
On Manor Road, Carlton, opposite the library. Formerly a shop, now a house. Presumably a sweet shop.
Cliff Ton 10,435
This old sign has reappeared after being covered for years by an advertising hoarding. It’s on a wall at the bottom end of Forest Road West, near the junction with Alfreton Road. It’s pointing to Skill’s travel agency which was just round the corner on Alfreton Road (in the old photo). 3

carltonlass 0
Hi Just doing some research and came across your query re Furniss Bros of Traffic Street. My grandad, (uncle and great uncle) worked there for 38 years until it closed down completely in February 1958.
