Chulla 4,946
As a matter of interest, what route would the train take from Bagthorpe Junction to Stanton Iron Works?
Bubblewrap 3,815
And just to think there were 733 of these running on BR in the early 60s & only one named 90732 Vulcan
Bubblewrap 3,815
Colwick (38A & 40E) had a large number of these locos allocated almost to the end of steam.
ValuerJim 277
Chulla, They originated out in Leicestershire and came via Colwick onto the GNR Derbyshire extension line via Basford North, Kimberley, Awsworth and Ilkeston North, and then off at Stanton Junction.
Bilbraborn 1,594
From Bagthorpe Jc going north turn left towards Basford north and follow the Friargate line to Stanton Jc. Going south it should not get as far as Bagthorpe Jc but turn right at Bulwell South Jc to Basford North and carry on as above. Simples. I can still see it all in my minds eye.
