Stan 386
Due on a cruise from Southampton to Sydney 10 Jan 2014 (Q.M.2) Where do I write to cancel! Jokes aside, he was a brilliant mind. RIP

catfan 14,793
I remember those immortal words he uttered at the beginning of his show. Hello, Good Evening & Welcome. RIP Sir David.
TYAFANS 26
He was famous in America, well respected, and always right to the point. You had to pay attention and learn. There was no fluff or filler in his interviews, and the time flew by. In later life,he looked older than his years in my opinion....like 84 and not 74......either way, the man was pure wisdom and a pleasure to watch. Who will ever forget his head on interview with Richard Nixon!
jackson 301
Sorry to hear of David's passing........... Loved his satire and sharp wit when hosting TWTWTW back in 60's. Enjoyed his piercing interviews with well-known personages. A lad of many talents, a lad who did well in life. Far too young to go................... Missed - a likeable personality - God Bless David. xx
Cliff Ton 10,464
Spooky coincidence..........he died at almost the same time as the first episode of a new series of 'Through the keyhole' - which he started.
major oak 0
A brilliant and interesting human! Had a trial with Nottingham Forest and nearly became a pro footballer!!
Beefsteak 305
We'll forgive hi that little hiccup in his career path!
poohbear 1,360
He was considered a soft touch by Blair and Co. equivalent to a grilling on the Sooty show....Paxman he wasn't. I liked his early stuff though.
Paulus 541
RIP David Frost, way ahead of his time with TWTWTW, not forgetting his accomplices
barclaycon 569
Yes, sad to see him go. The very early stuff - That Was The Week That Was and the 'intense' interviews were groundbreaking but I agree, he had become a soft touch in recent years. He always gave Blair an easy ride, and he seemed a little too cosy with contemporary politicians. I always enjoy watching the interview that he did with Enoch Powell where, quite frankly, Powell ran rings around him and put him in his place! Worth checking out. jackson 301
S'pose you could easily say that Sir David Frost had become a National Treasure. PS: Caught him on the telly a couple of months ago and thought he didn't look very well (seriously); should he have set himself the task of the Cruise talk?
LizzieM 9,507
A World Cruise is cheaper than a Care Home and he'd be getting pocket money as well ......
jackson 301
I'm sure Sir David would appreciate your wit Lizzie........
