I first started on the net back in October 1996, on a Pentium 75 pc running Windows 95 with a 14.4k dial up modem. I got a little bit addicted to the chat rooms on Compuserve, so when my dad opened the quarterly phone bill on December 28th (yes I remember the date!) my share was just over £186! Lucky I had got paid that day. Tried to limit myself to an hour a day after that.
