And the 'Dook' got 20 grand compensation cos they burnt it down...and why was it burnt down? cos the 'Dook' didn't consider that the peasants were entitled to a living that put food in their bellies.

Pity we didn't have a guillotine for his lot....in fact bring it back now,there are plenty today just like the 'Dook' who think they should own all the wealth.

And at that time The Dook was a bit hard up so I think he had the "job" done him self.

After all he had not lived there for years & it had been stripped of anything of value.

£20k in 1831 about £20,000,000 (or more) in to-days money.

AND the Dook was a Tory & Nottingham corporation was Whig.
