It was love at first sight (Mick Jagger not the Albert Hall). I think that same Stones concert was the only time I went in the Albert Hall . I know I went but don't remember a thing about it ! It was the second time I'd seen them . The first was when they were way down a bill at the Odeon , headed by The Everly Bros , Little Richard and Bo Diddley. Thought the Stones were terrible at that show !
loppylugs 8,427
You are right on that piece of music, Jill. I had forgotten the details. Quite fitting when I think the BRNO's hometown may have been Prague.
HSR 286
Would that be the entrance to Hurt's Yard? Became a independent chicken shop, more generous portions than KFC..made no difference to me, only ate chip's. Opposite side of Hurt's Yard entrance was a newsagents. Circa mid 80's was it called the southern fried shop? Chicken shop had a tiny frontage, directly behind, i remember a restaurant, had unnecessary wooden shutters at the windows looking for a vibe.. Was it called "bar something"
Cliff Ton 10,457
Yes, I believe the entrance to the Windmill was via Hurt's Yard.
