MelissaJKelly 2,120
I drove past the Marquis of Lorne the other week and was surprised to find out that it was where my Mum and Dad first met back in 1984! I believe it's closed now but was wondering if any of you have any memories or photos of the place?!
Michael Booth 7,364
I think there's a thread on the Marquis Of Lorne, I can remember putting a post on and seeing some photos, MelissaJKelly. EDIT. I think I may of been thinking of the Variety Club.

Bubblewrap 3,815
"The Marquis of Lorne" listed as on Salisbury Street & on the junction with Middleton Street. My maternal grand parents lived at number 60 Middleton Street from 1929 till they died in the mid 70s.

letsavagoo 961
Me and the wife used to go most Fridays to the Rock N Roll 50's n 60's disco there in the early 90's. Little Elvis performing Chantilly Lace. Oh happy days. Later John? Took over. He was a jobbing builder from Bulwell. It was packed every Friday. I can't remember when we stopped going. Probably about 1997 when I had an accident and was laid up.
