Middleton Press, railway album, Cotgrave Colliery

Recommended Posts

I received this email today

Kev (Cliff Ton), can you help?

Anyone else can assist Middleton Press with any info?

Dear Sir,

Middleton Press are about to produce a railway album which will include a reference to the Cotgrave Colliery and it is possible that they might like to include this picture no. 40 that appears on your website as train pictures at this site seem scarce.

I would be grateful if you could let me know how best to contact the owner (given as Cliff Ton) in order to obtain permission to use, obtain a high resolution copy and agree settlement.

Many thanks for your help,

Norman L******* on behalf of Middleton Press (https://www.middletonpress.co.uk/)

I wonder if they're doing a book on the Nottingham - Grantham line?

It would be good if they were. It's a line with a fascinating history.

In the good old days of British Rail, if you bought a ticket from Nottingham to London, it was valid to go that way as well as the usual Midland line.
