DAVIDW 1,683
Just seen this on Sky news . Chap with metal detector "near Sherwood Forest" , finds a 350 year old threepenny bit , minted in America . Because it's in near perfect condition it's estimated to be worth up to £1 million and as it's just a single coin it's not subject to treasure trove rules . http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2745782/Minted-Dug-Midlands-field-1m-perfect-US-threepenny-bit-time-Pilgrim-Fathers.html

ChrisB 150
I've got a couple of 1960 British ones. I don't suppose they're worth quite so much!

DJBrenton 738
I bought a second hand hardback book a few years ago and found two brand new 10 shilling notes between the pages. Obviously someone forgot they put them there. Unfortunately, I'm as bad because I've forgotten which book they're in!

MELTONSTILTON 452
I collect old books and it is surprising at times what you find in them, in one I found someone's driving licence, in another tucked down the spine 5, 100 euro notes and another a micro SD card cello taped, inside the middle of the book,
