Smiffy49 590
My Brother rang me last night and our conversation turned to this Forum. He asked me if I could find out if anyone had ever heard of a pub in the "Medders" called the Belvoir Castle. Anyone heard of it or know the name of the street it was on? Bubblewrap 3,815
Randolf Millington of 341 Alfred Street North was in 1916 listed as a "Fish Frier" (Kelly's Directory) The Belvoir castle was still trading in 1916 Landlady's name Mrs Emily Dodson. But in 1925 it was down as a shop run by Mrs Ethel Beresford. I have no Directories between 1916 & 1925
