Did Rob mean Cathy Burke of GIMME, GIMME, GIMME fame?

If not I don't think the 'Burke' was aimed at anyone in particular, he went to High Pavement and William Crane so he would not be so rude...

A bighug

I think I meant Patricia/Pat Burke, I think....possibly.....

Can't make my mind up whether to be decisive....or not....

Thanks for reference Ann....but don't forget Pavement produced Dr Harold Shipman - year after mine!

2nd thought from 'her who must be obeyed' says it may be Lizze Smith, think thats her name - she played in 'Vicar of Dibley', used to make the obnoxious cakes.

Mollie Sugden it was - also played Nerys Hughes' mum in the Liver BirdsĀ  !bravo!

Now realise I was mixing up the radio & TV versions....

IIRC, the radio series was earlier and longer running.

Quite surprising to recall how, at that time, many basically 'children's' entertainers became major radio performers for adult audiences of millions. Their eventual transfer to the TV screen seemed to guarantee a career setback.
