Full Circle - Now back in Fashion

Cod liver oil is very expensive here in France. Friends asked me yesterday to bring a supply back from UK on next trip.

My youngest grandson has taken a spoon full every day and still does aged 18, when most kids give up as soon as they can get away with.

My old mum swore by that stuff and drank some every night before bed.

Olive oil is from olives, cod liver oil is from fish.

Can't post a pic at the moment but another old ointment was Zam Buk . From the early 1900s and supposed to heal cuts as well as chilblains etc. Stll available, though a different formula nowadays apparently .

At one time Fisons owned it .

I take a high dose fish oil for my arthritis, used to take Krill oil too but it became a bit of a pretentious issue down here because of it's sustainability in the antarctic.

My wife cooks her regular breakfast omlettes in olive oil, but I hate the smell of it when heated, I use rice bran oil now as it's supposed to be one of the best for you.
