Mi nombre, oops!, my name is Brian Greaves and I am 'retired' and live in a campo finca near the town of Dolores on the Costa Blanca. I was born in 1957 and lived right upto 2003 at the same house on Spinney Crescent(off Stapleford Lane) in Toton, then I moved along with a good friend and his family to sunny Espana. My original career was that of a Design Draughtsman after doing my apprenticeship at Stanton and Staveley in the late 70s'. further career moves got me employment as a mechanical engineering Designer before 'retiring' as a Project Engineer. During this time I obtained my ONC in mechanical engineering at Peoples College, and my HNC in mechanical engineering at Trent Polytechnic. In addition to the lure of many a real ale hostelry in the Nottingham locale, I also managed to find time to cultivate other interests i.e. cinema pipe organs, railways, and (gosh, shock, horror to some people!) Freemasonry. I have often looked at this wonderful site as a visitor, and admired the mental faculties of many of its enlightened contiributors. I thought it was now the time to perhaps ask the occasional question to titillate the grey matter of some of you, and maybe I might be lucky enough to add my contribution to some thread.
