TRD 196
Here is a vid of use of the app, first connect is sometimes hit or miss! Looks like the WiFi connects phone to camera and not via your router? Success!! I'm using it on my tablet not phone and found that when I go into video mode on the camera the wifi turns on. Don't know if this is normal or just coincidence. Thanks for the video.
mick2me 3,033
I have downloaded the Android APK file, just got to figure out how to install the App on my phone and Tablet. The camera was collected from Heathrow 14hours ago for Nottingham, should arrive at local depot for delivery tomorrow.
TRD 196
I downloaded the app straight to my tablet via the browser which was no problem. My phone is Blackberry so can't use a phone app and don't understand/want to understand APK files

NewBasfordlad 3,599
Hi Mick, Just a decent dash cam to record our work journeys mainly protection in case of an accident. I recently had a guy try to claim of my insurance after he had backed into me. Fortunately he didn't get away with it but it would have been so much simpler if we had had a dash cam. The Pianoman 1,532
If you just want something simple and inexpensive with decent picture quality these seem OK. You can get them for a little over £20. From China or Hong Kong of course. https://youtu.be/Eo76bkytA3o
catfan 14,793
This is why you need a Dashcam. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0FoqR2c0Qc&feature=youtu.be
mick2me 3,033
Arrived this morning, works straight out of the box. Installed App on phone and tablet, it is now mostly in English. Immediately recognised there was a later version of firmware and updated it. Build quality superb, if Tiny. The size of a small matchbox. Can be used as a dashcam, video can be inverted for upside down mounting. I dont know if the firmware yet supports auto on/off with ignition power, but I suspect future firmware updates may include a dashcam mode? Xiaomi have got a winner with this camera. Probably the best bit of kit I have purchased for a while.

Robbie 39
#32 Mick, I am also looking for a dashcam, well I could do with two. One for the rear view as I get fed up with tailgaters. Any advice on costs, quality, where to go, what to look for would be most appreciated.
