I have to listen to this chauvinist complaining about other drivers, usually women. I don’t listen to him anymore. I've found that the drivers who annoy me most are either girls "driving" mini coopers or blokes keeping their heads warm in tweed caps. Not sure how many drivers I manage to annoy. FLY2 10,108
Probably none like me Phil. If I see a straw hat on the rear shelf of the car in front, I know I'm in for a slow ride. Also.I can't abide seeing those little lowered hatch backs. I'm certain that they've no MoT on a heap like that.
philmayfield 6,115
Cushions on the rear shelf and the driver wearing a hat. Why do you wear a hat inside a car?
plantfit 7,580
I always wear a baseball cap Rog
jonab 1,644
According to Robert Robinson on the BBC Weekending programme some years ago, wearing a hat inside a care is a characteristic of Volvo drivers.

FLY2 10,108
Around here, baseball cap wearers drive BMW's, Audis, Mercs and Range Rovers. The drug trade must be booming !

FLY2 10,108
Right, well I'll just go and put my baseball cap in the boot, and remove the cushions from the rear shelf !

FLY2 10,108
There's 'showing character ' and there's 'looking a twat', and believe me, there's a very fine line between the two. When I think back to what I wore in the past, I cringe !
plantfit 7,580
I've often thought about getting a leather flying helmet and goggles to wear when riding my trike Rog

Jill Sparrow 10,304
My father had a flying helmet, goggles and a flying jacket when I was a child. Don't know where they came from...he was in the navy and spent the war in the tropics!! He wore them when riding his motorbike to work. A friend recently bought an Irvin flying jacket. Expensive! philmayfield 6,115
I’ve also just found a rather nice leather flying jacket. That’s shrunk as well! It’s not a genuine Irvin but a good copy. I got it from a place in Carrington that made leather coats. It has a nice patina of age as indeed have I !
