Sad loss

How long would it take for an appropriate number of armed officers to arrive at an incident of 'Active shooting' somewhere in this country.

And what if there are several incidents at the same time as in the 7/7 atrocities?

When I worked for Plessey, later Siemens, I was with an IRA sympathiser, two Muslims, Sikhs, Hindus, an Italian, several West Indians and two Poles. The Poles were fantastic. The rest, a complete and utter waste of oxygen. They ALL hated each other. Funny old world isn't it.

Some thought provoking posts. Trevor S points out what many of us know (or suspect) but dare not say. It's extremely difficult to fight terrorism by not becoming devisive when such atrocities are committed. After all the true aim of Muslim Fundamentalists, I believe, is to stir up such hatred between non-Muslim and Muslim that a religious war between ALL non-Muslims against ALL Muslims becomes inevitable.

By refusing to become suspicious of Muslims we are perhaps merely delaying the inevitable. The terrorism will continue until this war is declared, or until the terrorists are wiped from the face of the earth.

My personal opinion is that there is not enough condemnation from the peaceful Muslim community. There may be one or two Muslim leaders who appear in the media denouncing the violence, but the majority seem to want to push the blame elsewhere (the police or government) or to remain quiet. Where are the MASS "not in our name" demonstrations that would send a message to the terrorists and show support for us?

Maybe the reason is this ....the Quoran states "It is not permissible to forsake a Muslim, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “It is not permissible for a man to forsake his Muslim brother for more than three days, each of them turning away from the other when they meet. The better of them is the one who gives the greeting of salaam first.”

Perhaps the problem is that no Muslim leader has (or even can) refute this statement where terrorists are concerned, and therefore the majority of Muslims prefer to look the other way.

On a lighter note .... Terence 12!!! Didn't you used to frequent the company of those awful children who attended the Bash Street Acadamy??!!.

Like the man said; 'Not all Muslims are terrorists; unfortunately all terrorists are Muslim'. Not entirely true but you can see where he's coming from.

According to the news today. Foreign Office advice to holidaymakers in Tunisia. "Return to the UK"

Those who choose to stay or travel, against advice, will not have valid travel insurance.

If they get shot, this will be frowned upon by the Foreign Office

This is based on the Tunisian government forces inability to fully protect them.

Also the terrorist shared a flat with two other terrorist suspects. They cannot be traced?
