Beverley Sister Joy

Recommended Posts

In the days of the variety show and real entertainment on the telly, the sisters were very popular. Joy lived to a good age and if the twins are 3 years behind, they're not doing too badly either.

Joy was the one who was married to Billy Wright. I remember the song 'Sisters' from when I was little.

When I lived in North Finchley, the sisters lived nearby and were sometimes to be seen together on the High Road.

RIP Joy

TBI. Last week you could have seen Mrs Chulla, our daughter and me walking along North Finchley High Street, on our way to the local Wetherspoons. Small world , innit!

I remember you said you'd been in the Tally Ho, Chulla. Had many sessions in there!

I grew up with the Beverley sisters in the 50's - I can remember that song Little Donkey blaring out of the wireless one christmas, it was a number one.........They came from a poor family in London and new poverty, I'm glad they made it......May she rest in peace and I am sure the twins are devatated......
