carni 10,094
I remember watching Hale - Bopp every day and even though it was fascinating and a one off chance to see something like that, it used to frighten me as well. It does bring home how precious life is and how we are quite vulnerable against the forces of nature. I found this info, you might enjoy-reading. http://www.swisr.org/hale-bopp.html
MargieH 7,594
I stayed up till 3.30am, alternating watching some films on catch-up and moon watching. Tried to get some good photos of the blood moon but it looked too small to be any good. Was interesting to actually see It, though. Out here in the sticks, there is very little light pollution and the sky was clear so we had a good view. Didn't wake up till 8.30 this morning - disgustingly late!
