JulieW 0
Hello! I've just been looking at the 1939 Register and it seems that my family were living at 11 Carlton Terrace, Nottingham at the time. There doesn't seem to be a Carlton Terrace anywhere in Nottingham now so I'm assuming that it went in the slum clearances. I think it may have been in The Meadows - has anyone come across it at all? Commo 1,292
Welcome to the Forum Julie, hope that you find it as interesting and addictive as most of us on here. I believe that there was a Carlton Terrace off Ashling St, which was just off Meadow Lane, but wait on for Cliff Ton to come on line and you should get a definite answer. TBI 2,351
1920 Wright's Directory lists two Carlton Terraces, one off Ashling Street and one off Carlton Road.
Cliff Ton 10,464
I can find the one off Ashling Street, like this. Iremonger Road doesn't yet exist on this map. As other people have said, there was also one off Carlton Road but I haven't been able to find its exact location yet.
