Exiled to South Derbyshire and now residing in Northampton. Still a proud Snot, fanatical 'Pies supporter. My kids think I have a funny accent, I think they put r's in the wrong place. The following had me laughing... "Why have we stopped?" "You said Castle!" "And???" "It should be Carstle!" Re mushy peas with mint sauce - we used to be able to buy them in Central Market, you had them in a small bowl with a wooden fork. mmmm! Also used to be able to get cockles too.
