My daughter lives on there & is very keen on any info/history she can find. She reckons her house was built in the early thirties, there appears to be quite a difference in house styles along that road & read on here somewhere that different builders at different times could be the reason for this. House-building seems to have started at the top of the hill and gradually worked down. This is how it looked in the early 40s - nothing at the bottom end apart from a dotted line. Valley Farm was approximately the present day cross-roads of Ernest Road / Valley Road. The church marked is now a modern building, not the one shown here. In the 1920s Prospect Road is notable by its absence. The only road is Foxhill Road. 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
