Digging around in a publication from the late 1800s, I wish adverts were still written in this style.

In this one, the Skinner at the top is part of what later became Skinner and Rook.

This opticians Gray, still exists on Pelham Street as Gray and Bull. Selling telescopes and trusses in the same shop is rare these days.

There was a very old shop on Hockley in 60s, going down on the right hand side, which sold only surgical appliances. My friends and I would look in the window and have a giggle about all the contraptions on display. Well we were young teenagers at the time!

A bet young teenagers don't bat an eyelid at some of the stuff in certain shop windows these days.

I even get a telling off if I walk past a La Senza shop and happen to cast a glance at the window.

A ladies lingerie shop, but I never look at the underwear, just the models faces. LOL
