colly0410 1,181 Posted June 10, 2016 Report Share Posted June 10, 2016 When a kid in the medders in 60's my mate & I would go onto Arkwright Street, stand at a bus stop, put our hands out to stop a bus, then run away. Neither the conductor or the driver would give chase as they couldn't leave the bus, it was great fun. One day there was a knock at the door & there stood a bus driver telling Mam what I'd been up to. Mam then gave me a good hiding in front of the driver who then went away looking very pleased with himself; the grass.
