mick2me 3,033
Its not really Trivia, cos I don't know the answer. A police series was filmed in Nottingham in the 1980's. The lead character had a polish name and that was the title of the series. I remember seeing them filming it on Devonshire Prominade, off Derby Rd. It never really took off. Anyone remember what it was?
bamber 128
Sounds like "Resnick" - based on the John Harvey novels of the same name about a Nottingham detective. Cheers, Bamber

Anyone remember what it was? I was an extra on Resnick. I answered an Ad in the Evening Post, and was paid about £60 a day(a lot then) !! I was a 'Jazz Fan' and a 'student' in the background in various pubs in Nottingham, one being The Angel in Hockley.

Stuart Swift 1
Is this available on Video? I hope not, it was pretty awful. I made my Mum tape the whole series, I had better things to do, just to see myself on it. Not a sign of me.
rob237 89
The Resnick books are very readable... Local author is jazz fan John Harvey. Cheers Robt P.
radfordred 6,284
And sandwich lover Detective inspector Charles Resnick.
Socram 130
Read all of the Charlie Resnick books. Most I have read twice - which is a rarity for any fiction. Having left Nottingham 1983 (though I have been back many times) John Harvey's writing always brought back much of the feeling of the City. They need to be read in sequence but all are extremely readable. He's a Notts County supporter too, though his love of jazz is the more modern rather than my preferred traditional.
