All going wrong

Strange weekend for the local teams.

Magpies hammered 4-1 at home by Woking Just in a play off position. Crowds in the 5-6,000 more than the Stags are getting.

Stags beaten at home again 1-0 by Barrow now hovering in the relegation zone. What has gone wrong?

Forest slowly climbing away from danger with two solid away wins and scored goals. Lets hope it continues!

Football is/was the beautiful game..........nobody loved the game more than me.......played till i was nearly 40....loved Forest and County...........however money took over alot of years ago now....

Forest in 2nd division......early 50s   Run by a commitee.. Reserves in Midland league.. Trent end 1/6 Players going to Ground on the Bus... Had to take a job in Summer

Can't argue too much with that one Ben, I must have seen Wally Ardron play when I was about four or five years old but can't actually remember it. Obviously that is a team drawn over a few era's.

Oz,

Yep it looks like Steve Cooper has got the players on side and they're performing to their potentialat at last. I think Chris Hughton was happy to take the payoff at the end. Hard to work out why it went wrong for him. His track record was quite good but it soon went downhill for him.

Nigel Clough's good start has quickly fallen apart. Again his track record is good but he can't seem to make it happen with the Stags currently. I fear his public criticism of some of his players hasn't worked. Bit too early to talk about relegation but if they're still stuck at the bottom by Christmas they may be joining Notts in non league.

Notts seem to have slipped back after a very good start. Like Mansfield they've had a few unfortunate injuries of late so I hope they come good again. I rate the management team but the National League is notoriously hard to get out of. Interestingly Neal Ardley is doing a good job at Solihull.

I thought Lincoln might struggle this season but they seem to have settled and may yet make the playoffs.

It really does make me wonder how the essentially same team can completely turn things round in such a short time. Whatever Cooper is doing we can only hope that he keeps doing it. It would be good to have a season without relegation fears and some hope of a play off spot.

What a great weekend for Nottinghamshire football.

It really is starting to go right for the reds, a 4-1 away win at Swansea now leaves them only four points from a play off place. It makes a change from struggling at the wrong end of the table. C'mon you Reds

County with a 4-1 win over Southend sees them further consolidate their play off position. Their next league game is away at top of the table Chesterfield. I hope it is a good game with no trouble from the fans. It will certainly test them and a win will help their chances of securing the automatic promotion spot. Go the Maggies

The Stags 2-1 win against Salford sees them only four points from a play off spot too, who would have thought it after their start to the season. Well done the Stags and their manager the Son of God.

Another good result and now on the edge of the playoffs. Difficult to believe this is mostly the same side that had such an awful record under the previous manager.

And to make me feel old, Leeds have named a 15 year old lad called Archie Gray on their substitute list for their match today. He’s the son of Andy Gray and grandson of Frank Gray! Both of whom played for Forest as well as Leeds.

Well up to now The Red Men are losing to Huddesfield. They could do with a manger shake up.

About 4:00am our time. If we could get it I'd be watching. Might get some coverage on BBC 5 live on the radio otherwise I'll just have to settle for looking at the score when I wake up.

Apparently no replays this year just extra time then penalties. Go You Reds!

Listened to it on the radio.

A win for the Reds and a draw in the cricket what a great weekend.

Leicester at home in the 4th round should be a cracker. Do't think I'd want to be any where near the City Ground on match day

We watched the match on TV though I could hardly bear to watch the last 5 mins or so.  Forest were brilliant and what made their win even better, is that my husband, a Southerner, is an Arsenal fan!
