Jill Sparrow 10,305
#26 Only on the understanding that you post the photos on NS, Chulla! Cos we all want to see what sort of frock he looks best in!
loppylugs 8,429
I just had to log back on to see how this thread was doing. It is as I expected. It has been giving me a smile all day while I was working in my veggy garden. Mrs. Loppy probably thinks I've got some whacky baccy in the shed. Looking forward to Chulla's photos.
Jill Sparrow 10,305
I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of frocks our Ben prefers. A little Audrey Hepburn, cinched waist number, perhaps or maybe a full Sunray pleated skirt a la Marilyn Monroe on the subway grating! It'll be something 50s or early 60s and tasteful knowing our Ben!
benjamin1945 16,158
Anyway i blame clff ton for showing that photo of clays on denman street that started all this off. Lol
Cliff Ton 10,464
Were they the same Clay's who had this place on Radford Road ?
Jill Sparrow 10,305
Clay's sold shoes, not dresses, Ben! They did very nice silver dancing slippers in their shop on the corner of Alfreton/Hartley Road when I was little. Looking for some snazzy footwear to go with your frock? Must be a different company cos I can see frocks in the window of Denman Street. Look a tad dowdy for our Ben, though!
katyjay 5,091
Whichever frock he goes with, he'll know exactly how much it cost down to the last penny. How many yards of fabric it took. Who made the sewing machine etc.

Jill Sparrow 10,305
#35 Ben won't let us down, Loppy. It will all be, as Kenny Everett used to say, in the best possible taste! Chulla, better take your telephoto lens along. We don't want to miss owt!
Chulla 4,946
Will be on my way in a couple of hours to stand outside 'spoons on Main Street. I shall recognise him - that moustache is a dead giveaway. If he is wearing a low-cut frock I might even see his liberty bodice - nice. Benji, a word to the wise; shave your legs and don't wear high-heel shoes. I hear they are a sod to walk in if you are a man. Just a thought; is this the way Benji dresses to camouflage himself to catch the shoplifters? 1
