Brew 5,411
Or go and buy another drone to knock the first drone out of the tree....
philmayfield 6,120
Then there would be two in the tree!

Beekay 5,138
Eureka !! That's the answer Phil. A sixty foot poplar, all you need to do is send some kid and tell him he must go right to the top and when the tree bends over you can just reach up and pluck the drone and arrow from the tree. Send up some kid you don't like and when you have your drone, let go of the tree and it will flick the the child over someone else's garden. Problem solved eh ! ?
philmayfield 6,120
That’s easy. I dislike all kids. I do like your technique. Just off to find a child!
nonnaB 4,895
Can't you train a couple of squirrels? On second thoughts they might get entwined in the fishing line.
philmayfield 6,120
The fishing line has been retrieved. Squirrels we have in abundance. Not easy to catch though and they do have a nasty bite. That might lead to rabies so I'll bide my time until it gets windy again.

philmayfield 6,120
Nothing more to relate Margie. It would cost more to retrieve it than it cost. Possibly the hire of a cherry picker but it would be a bit wobbly at that height. We'll just have to wait for the next windy day. Having seen a drone close up in action I would really like one. This one took fantastic video pictures over the Trent Valley. It's my birthday in a couple of weeks so it's a toss up between a drone or an electric bicycle - might have to treat myself. 2

carni 10,094
Sorry you have lost your much loved cat benj. Before I married our home was always full of kittens I adored them. Since I married we have loved and lost three dogs and each time it broke our hearts. I understand your heartache. So sorry for your sadness.
LizzieM 9,507
So sorry Ben.  I’m certainly not a cat lover but having lost several family dogs, rabbits, Guinea pigs and other assorted animals I know how much it hurts.  Thoughts are with you x 1

Yes, get a drone on your Birthday wish-list Phil.  Our son has one which he bought to take aerial shots of the work they do, it takes very impressive videos.  Just don’t fly it near those trees or too close to the river! In fact a drone has been found and not claimed in Mapperley Park today, probably a good idea to put a tracker on them .......
