Ben how sad for you, I'm so sorry . I know how animals affect you when you lose them. I'm sure she's had a good and loved life and you can't regret that?

Ben, I'm so sorry. I know how much it hurts. Lost my little Crystal, the moggie in the avatar, in June this year.  You have given your feline friend a brilliant home and, more importantly, you love her. Tears are the price we pay for love.

She's gone over the rainbow bridge, Ben.  She's safe now.

Phil, I've got the answer. Get yourself an electric bike with propellers on, then you fly up and get your drone back. Leave the kid up there. B.

My little dog Lily ate a cyclamen flower yesterday, so passed the night looking for signs of intoxication. Shes fine this morning her usual full of beans behaviour. She slept cuddled up to me all night so whether she felt a bit uncomfortable I dont know, she didnt seem distressed.

Sorry to hear about your cat, know the pain having lost dogs and cats. Always remember what I was told years ago, you never own a pet you just borrow them for a while.

Know how you feel Ben. We had our first cat for twenty years. Due to old age and developing leukaemia, the vet said it was kinder to put her out of her suffering. Wish we had one now, but not allowed one where we live.

Always sad to lose a pet but we never forget them, the love that they give us is always special.  On a different note Ben .......last light in the silly hours when I can't sleep I watched a programme about a man "gangster" who lived on Bestwood Estate his surname was Gunn, his first name I have forgotten, according to the programme he was an evil man who "ruled the estate" with violence .  I am assuming it was true if so was a horrible piece of work, did you know about him.  Gem

Just remembered something else mentioned he stood out as the only Porsche owner on a council estate Lol.  Well he wouldn't he.

Everybody knew about him Gem.   He’s locked up for a long time, thankfully.

When we were planning on moving back to Nottingham from leafy Hertfordshire 15 years ago our friends thought we were utterly mad as Nottingham was known as the Gun Capital of the UK at that time!!

Sometimes in the silly hours I pick up in the middle of a programme and don't get the full picture but this one kept my interest because of its location.  Your mention of the Gun Capital brought back a memory of visiting my father in law after a long absence and seeing armed police on the streets, I found it a little un-nerving, now its the norm. He lived in Broxtowe think it was definitely normal there, no offense meant to anyone living there.

I knew about the Gunnies, presume it is the same family. Had houses I was looking at to buy checked out in case they were in bandit territory. When we came down to visit always told my hubby not to react if he got cut up when driving because of the “gun capital of UK” thing.

Up until recently, there was a Maserati parked on Arnold Rd. The owner probably worked for the City Council !

I have a story about all that, but not for open forum.  I'll pass it on when I have more time.

Beautiful sunny day , brilliant blue sky and not cold at all.

Trouble is it shows up all the nose prints on my windows and all the spots from the rain
