Just a footnote, antibiotics were for a chest infection that I was left with after having a heavy cold (sounded a bit like Darth Vader), wouldn’t dream of going to doctors for a cold I just dose myself, lasts 7 days if you do, a week if you don’t.

Well said Staverton girl. I don't think anyone would approach the Dr for a cold unless it had complcations. I tend to see them through. But if it gets worse I use the aerosol with phials of fluibron ( don't know what they're called) to help me breathe more easily. They work.

How was my yesterday? Not really what I was expecting. My appointment in oncology was changed from Dec to yesterday because my consultant  has retired and his patients have been split in groups that  specialise in various forms. I had my TC scan at the beginning of dec and should have been seen but had to wait until yesterday. Strangely enough this time I wasn't aggitated. Apparently something has showed up on my left lung. It's not a mark its a dense something or other. They couldn't tell me any more other than it has to have a followup. ( thats what I've been doing for 6 yrs and 1 month from the last thermablation) So it shook me to say the least. I sort of took it in but was worried. Now in March I have to have another blood test followed by another TC scan and visit. My mind was in a turmoil on the way home and tears weren't far away but on reading the report and remembering what the oncologist said, it may not be any more than the after effects of bronchitis I had in Dec. He did ask me if I'd had a cough. He also said that if it proves that its something they will do a biopsy followed by RT. After having colon cancer and liver cancer I think I've had my fair share of 4 ops. I try not to think about it but it crops up when I feel down. I'm a person that all through since 2009 I've been very positive and have given positive advice to people in similar situations so I hope before long this positivity will return.

Sorry for the long post .

Nonna, I'm so sorry to hear of your health  worries...  I suppose all I can say is this....  although the news wasn't what you wanted to hear, I think it's good  to be aware of a potential problem and know that you'll be able to get it treated if necessary.   We will be thinking and praying for you until your next scan... especially, as you say, that your positivity will return.   I believe our minds can and do affect our physical health, so I'm praying for complete wholeness for you xx

Sorry you have this this extra worry nonna. You definitely have been through it these last few years.

Bronchitis can leave after effects, but your bloods and scan in March must seem along while away for you to be worrying. We hope all goes well for you nonna. xx

Thankyou Margie, talking about it tonight the worry seems to be easing a bit and we keep reading the report and every time we understand a bit more in spite of the medical terms in italian which translated seem to be the same.

I keep saying positive , positive and it will work.

Thankyou Carni, you can't keep a Lancashire lass down even if she is from Nottingham. Yes March is a long way off but it'll soon come round.

Sorry to hear of your worries, nonna. Try to think positive. These things often aren't as bad as our minds assume them to be.

Thinking of you.

Thankyou Jill I'm working on positivity, I'll get there.

So sorry to read all this Nonna, realised you’d not been on here for a few days.  Please try not to worry, you’re a tough bird, you’ve gone through a lot in the past and whatever this latest scan shows up then you’ll get through this too.  We’re thinking of you and sending lots of love.

Hi Nonna

so, sorry to read about your illness but keep fighting because you and myself have a lot of history we could tell the general public a thing or to about hair.

Hairdressers like you and me will Never Ever give up.

PS just giving you something else to think about Nonna

not sure if this the right time but it will set your mind thinking  After trading for nearly 70 years "Pepper's" in Trinity Square has closed but the   "Pepper's" on Market St is still trading, do you remember Peppers wholesales at the top of Exchange Walk. The Kinnell family still own Peppers after all these years.

To all who sent me best wishes, thank you so much. I know that with all your good wishes something good must come out of them.

PP would love to see you again at meetups but its a bit impossible for now. 4 dogs to look after and no one to help because every one is working but I shall be there in spirit.

Fly, Lizzie, Gem, Waddo,AffaGorrit, Mary . Your wishes mean a lot to me , I'll do my best.

Today just returned from my SIL. She wanted to make some pizzas ( they are even better than the pizzerias) but to get us all together we decided on lunch time. It was very enjoyable and helped me to hear of other problems that have arisen in the family and helped me to relax a few hours ( and a couple of glasses of red)Have already said we must do it again and soon!!

Already feel better:biggrin:
