@RadFordee  I speak fluent cat but am not sufficiently evolved to be one. We can both think of somewhere that contained a lot of old bats, though!:Vampire:

I am just reading a book ( for about the 4th time actually over the years) called Solomons Tale by Sheila Jeffries. For all cat lovers it is a must read. Solomon is a healing cat and the story is told through his eyes. Would definitely recommend.Jill you would love it.

Had dealings with 3 surgeons today.  This morning I went to The Park Hospital for a check-up with the doctor who removed the basal cell carcinoma from near my eye.  Ended up having a very painful steroid injection into the site because the scar has hardened and (to me) is noticeable.  In a couple of weeks I will have to massage the scar to reduce it.  Got home to find two tree surgeons felling four trees in our garden.  They were smashing lads, worked through the rain and left the garden really tidy, piling logs up for us to use in a couple of years time in the new wood-burning stove we’re having installed.

No, they didn’t have room on the truck for the grinding machine today, they cut right down to soil level and they’ll come back to grind the roots if we wish.  The council had until yesterday to refuse permission to fell as we’re in a tree preservation area, but thankfully we heard nothing and the lads were here first thing this morning.

Went for second pre op for surgery on my left knee. Since things have been moving a bit quickly and my right knee is not yet strong enough to take the lead, I discussed maybe having to delay for a few weeks.

Then, when I saw the Doc, she told me that the ECG taken a little earlier was very different to the one taken before first op. Lots of 'ectopic' beats or somesuch. So... a delay while I wait for them to organise a 24 hour 'tape' with the subsequent wait for the Cardiologists report.  .....

So that's the delay organised. ...

Col, the phrase “It’s being so cheerful as keeps me going” comes to mind when I read your posts!  Just looked it up and it came from ITMA.   I remember my mum (jokingly) saying that….

Good and bad news a few days ago. Good news is the weather will be good until Christmas with fairly high temperatures which is nice but not normal.

The bad news is that we have to put up with mosquitoes until then. I have fly screens but they still get through and I can guarantee I’m bitten at least a couple of times a day.I can’t have the front door open at all so it’s a nuisance having to keep the dogs inside then outside instead of them going out to sunbathe!

Every now and again we have a chilly day but doesn’t really need CH but just a quick blast firing up the wood burning fire to take the dampness away. ( the atmosphere )
