How's your day?

NHS Cliff. Don’t know why I got sent there other than the QMC specialist I see referred me to Mr Tsegaye who is a top spine surgeon. I couldn’t afford private treatment and I don’t have insurance.

I understood he was waiting for tests results, so I was also concerned about him, I hope all is OK.

Greetings all and thanks for your concern.  I've been a  bit busy with Mrs Col's old shed of a car. Took weeks to obtain a new cooling fan and a couple of days to fit it.  A question of trying to 'jiggle' the cooling fan and its frame, which wraps around the main radiator and also attaches to the aircon condenser at the front of the main rad.  What's known as a PITA. Then the horn, which had been removed by the repair shop who couldn't obtain a new fan.. ( which is why I did it..) wouldn't work when I refitted it.  Turned out to be corroded conductors in the wiring.  Stripped back to clean conductora and soldered new spade connectors in place.  The only solder I had handy was some very expensive 'audiophile grade' silver solder.  So the horn now not only works, but sounds fantasic.....

Next up.. the battery, which went flat while the car was out of action, now doesn't want to hold a charge, so I've fitted a new one. .. but not yet 100% sure that there isn't also something causing a 'parasitic battery drain'.

We shall see...

As for health.  Had some very worrying symptoms and so on and was worried sick for about 5 weeks.  Went for ultrasound scan yesterday and was told that all looks OK except for a cyst on one kidney, which is apparently very common.  Still not tracked down the cause of the symptoms but I've got an appointment with Gastroenterology next month, so will go from there.

I think you are asking the right person Ben. Young Jill is involved with some sort of cat rescue is she not?

The cats I help out with are all either disabled or very elderly and for that reason do not leave the rescue centre but are royally looked after for the rest of their days by people who love them.

Cats Protection League have a never ending list of cats needing good homes. They'd be happy to hear from you, Ben.

Hope you get on with your 'Lycra' Benj. I tried the ones with the gel patch, but I couldn't take to them. I have a 'Gel Seat Cover' Mi duck, it is great, it cost less than a tenner, and I can wear ordinary trousers instead of my Lycra Leggins if we are going to walk around the shops, and I still have the comfort of the 'Gel Padding'. I just have to remember to cover it when we park up in case it rains.

Can't beat a box of Liquorice shapes Beekay, we always have some at Xmas as well as birthdays. I like the Wheels and the little jelly sweetie in the middle, Hubbs likes the pipes and Wheels. In fact he likes them all. I have to keep my eyes on the box or I don't get a look in. Will you have to wait a month or do you share?

Just nicked one of the liquorice  sticks, quite nice really. If she's  very good I'll  let her open the box:rolleyes:

Might ask for some diabetic candy floss next month. Probably end up paying mesen !

Also treat her to magazines, i.e. 'My Weekly, Womans Weekly etc. Buy her them then I  don't  have to talk to her.

I will eat almost anything in the category of cakes, chocolate, biscuits, etc etc, but I've never been able to get on with liquorice. One of the few limits I have.

Thanks Den,,,still might start a ''Dreaming'' thread,,,people could document their dreams on it,,,then we could work out whether they are 'Barmy' or not...

For instance,,.......throwing people over my Grannies fence and driving down to Peterborough to clean United's windows without a ladder,,,or shall i bother ?....what do others think ?;)
