How about a cat share,Ben? Or, from the cat's point of view, a human share? Best of both worlds!

He's gorgeous! A friend said to me recently that if I found a sabre toothed tiger sitting on my doorstep, I'd say it was cute and offer it a bowl of cat biscuits.

Too right I would! :P

So they say!     I used to dance with my old black Lab in the two years I lived alone with him after my first wife died.  Late afternoon there used to be a program on the radio called Disc Drive.  They used to play a bit of everything fron jazz to Bach.  I'd have it on while getting my supper ready.  Solly would lay in his bed in the corner.  For some reason the DJ seemed to like Poulenc and would often play some.  I'd yell, "It's Poulenc, Sol."   He'd come flying across the kitchen, jump up with his front paws in my hands and we'd dance.  Good memories, still brings a tear.

Had a reminder for car service.

In the last 12 months I've done 2,000 miles. That's more than I expected, and I suspect a lot of people will have done much less.

I have just had mine serviced 1854 miles ,my son has used it quite a few times. I was going miss the service but I had to have it done as part of the warrantee, I was not happy as all it was is an oil change a check over for £185.

Hubbs just said we have had our car for six years and we have done 94000 miles approx.

Right then. A Mathematical question.

If we have travelled 94000 miles, and each car ride is approximately 25miles long . How many cream cakes will we have consumed over the last six years.

Answers on a Elephants foot please.slywink

PS we both had a cake each 25mile ride?

Carni, you may interested to know, you will have consumed 7,520 cakes between you. Bet you were feeling a bit sick after that lot.

Blimeh,  BK, that's a bloomin' lot of cream cakes. I think I'd better stick to a jam donut today then! Not literally.

Despite Beekay and his calculations, he's wrong.

The correct answer is...NOT ENOUGH!!  :P

Another negative response...

8 cakes per 100mls=

80 per 1000=

80 x 94= 7,520.

Re: car serviced. I have a Kia Sorento and take it to the dealer we got it from for servicing.  They do a great service plus oil change.  The full amount was a little over $35 and then they subtracted insurance. Not sure what that was about but I finished up paying  $13.32. And, they washed my car too. Can't complain about that.

I think we're ripped off by main dealerships in this country. As soon as my car is out of warranty I will use an independent specialist who charges less than half the price.

My car is overdue a 'B' service, on time, not mileage. Quote from Inchcape Nottingham  - almost a thousand pounds. Basically all it involves is oil, filters, a visual inspection and a 20 second poor quality video clip, oh and they wash it for me..

If you have a car under warranty does it have to be the main dealer that services it?

My car is due for it's MOT and its telling me (on dash) that it's ready for a service. So I have booked it in at my local garag. Paul owner is doing it for £200 it ony wants oil change and filter.

Brew what have you got is it a Rolls Royce.

denshaw in answer to your question normaly if your car is still under Warranty then it sould go to the main dealer.
