trogg 1,622
DJ I know what you mean about forgetting names , I found the best way when meeting people whose name I have forgotten is to introduce myself, they then give me their name and it solves the problem. Often or not they are in the same situation and have forgotten names, its an age thing. lol
benjamin1945 15,036
We are lucky in Nottingham.........just call everyone ''DUCK''
Cliff Ton 9,588
My mum and dad always spoke to each other as 'Duck'. Â I honestly never heard them address each other by their names.
Brew 5,005
Today I is mostly peed off. Â Finally saw a doctor after a three week wait who informs me both my ear drums seem to have gone walk about and I must make a appointment to see a specialist. Not only does the chemist not have the items on the prescription but the online appointment site informs there is a 45 week wait for treatment and will not accept bookings. Beekay 3,775
Today I have completed 'er indoors' list of birthday presents. She is now the proud owner of a brand new kettle, and, and, a really out of the box battery operated tin opener. Spoiling her or what? Think I'll get her a puncture outfit for Christmas.
catfan 14,757
That's how to spoil em BK. I'm gonna spoil Mrs C with a new hoover for her birthday.
philmayfield 5,048
It’s better to buy useful, practical presents rather than fripperies like flowers and chocolates that only last for a few days.

philmayfield 5,048
That's not fair. A woman shouldn't be expected to plug in her vacuum cleaner without assistance. Electrical regulations and all that.

DJ360 6,183
Well today I had a lot of fun raking all of the fallen leaves out of the borders and packing them into perforated plastic bags. They will go out of sight for a year to turn into leaf mould. I can now see the weeds in the borders, so the next task is to get them all out. Finaly, I'll use all of the old spent compost from this years tomatoes etc.. to mulch the borders, and that will be it until the Spring.
mary1947 1,754
Went into City Centre last ight, stopped and looked at the Christmas market, It was just like a normal Christmas. Before Virus, wait a minute!!! No lets not blame the virus what Nottingham  has gone, never to be seen again. Giffins/Debs this excellent building which now needs some TLC and where will Santa go. "Santas Grotto Gone." Then passed what used to be "Burtons" Arcade under/behind Coucil House quick look inside Dark/Gloome cold looking like a city dump. What hpperend to Christmas past, Lets not forget "Yates" now for want of a better name "Slug n' Lettece" What an insult to our old pub.   Any advice to local/council's will be welcome.
