MargieH 7,423
Thanks to you all for the birthday greetings x I’m not really 80 - I think there ‘s been a mistake somewhere …. A glitch in time perhaps. Actually, I feel very blessed that I’m still here.  God obviously still has more work for me to do!  I hope this will be even more listening to people who need to share their problems, rather than hard physical work….. I’d prefer to leave that to the younger ones   We’re going round one son’s house for supper this evening and going out for lunch on Saturday with our other son.  Also, our daughter is on her way over here as I type.  i can’t make any snow cats today, Jill, as our few centimetres of snow has already melted!  There’s just light rain at the moment, but I’m I’m having a cosy day indoors as you hoped, Lizzie x

Jill Sparrow 9,662
Pliers? There's a shortage of dentists. You could set up your own practice! Bit of string and a doorknob! Chair side manner like yours, you'd be well away. You couldn't be any worse than Ronald Acton of Gregory Boulevard!

I've always wanted to break into IKEA and replace the 6mm Allen keys with quarter inch ones. Those with some mechanical knowledge on here will understand.
philmayfield 5,503
Sweden's been metric since 1889 but they did switch over to driving on the right in 1967. Just imagine the chaos here if we did that overnight!
DJ360 6,385
Lapsing into the dialect of my adoptive village.."Aahhve dun nowt aww day'. I seem to go from lively days to days when I'm wiped out. Yesterday the Cardio nurse told me that my latest new medication is having a bad effect on my kidneys. It's got me wondering if it's worth it, for a slight gain. And now they want to try yet another med, with potentially bad side effects. Feel a bit like a Guinea Pig and I'm only marginally in Heart Failure. They seem to be trying to use drugs to stop symptoms I don't have. I may need to call a halt to this nonsense..
