We used to wait until they cooled down and then put them in the freezer, provided there is no sauce or gravy etc on them. When you want them, bang 'em in the oven, they taste just as good as when bought.

Vera Lynn appreciation society?

She lived in Ditchling. I used to attend meetings with her when I worked at the League of Friends coffee shop, Princess Royal Hospital, Haywards Heath. Lovely lady to talk to. R.I.P.

Not too soon I hope. I'm not quite ready for joining Bluebirds over Dover white cliffs, or Severn sisters either. I'm too young.

Eye test this morning in Lincoln, appointment for 10.05 so well before the students get up, the place was pretty quiet, a lot of the big shops have closed down leaving just a few cafes and fast food outlets, mobile phone shops / repairers and nail bars, anyway eyes are good with no problems, a bit peeved at getting mugged by the council though, £3.90 for two hours to park the car then have to run the gauntlet of the open urinal between the car park and the high street,

Hope you all had a great day though

Quiet day pleasing myself again as the Boss is at daughter's. Went around the corner for a chat with an old acquaintance. Only a few hundred metres. Almost back home and concentrating on keeping correct gait, when my new knee suddenly got excruciatingly painful, such that I couldn't put weight on it.

Found a very ungainly way of limping home and called the Orthopaedic Helpline. Left a message .

One step forward. ........:(
