Summer 1968, 6 friends who had all joined the army together, got their first leave and came up to Buxton. Beautiful summers day sat on the slopes opposite the Crescent two crates of beer and a sing song, the one song that kept reoccurring Blueberry Hill, sang a lot in barracks so they said. As time went on more friends turned up bringing more falling down water, we sat there from mid-afternoon till close to midnight just enjoying each others company....One of the best Saturdays ever.
