Bolam was a much better actor, so not surprising. I believe Bewes fell foul of the intensely private Bolam by giving a press interview in which he divulged too much information. He was never forgiven and Bolam blocked all and every attempt by Bewes to resurrect The Likely Lads in their more mature years. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
